| End of the Year Thanks |
|
5/18 The past nine months have really flown by, each day filled with familiar faces and new horizons. I am always amazed at how each year differs from those before it, presenting many new challenges and opportunities. But two things never change: 1) we end the year on the highest note possible and 2) I’m immensely proud of the dedication of each and every student, teacher and parent here at Heritage. At this time, I’d like to thank everyone who made this school year and all that we’ve accomplished during its course possible. Teachers – your knowledge provides students with the building blocks they need to further their education and be successful adults, while your encouragement gives them the drive to do both.Parents – by keeping the learning process going at home, you complete the cycle and create a constant flow of stimulus for your children. And by giving them motivation to keep the flow moving, they never tire of learning. Students – you give all us teachers and parents a reason, no, a thousand reasons for doing what we do. Your enthusiasm makes us try ever harder to be the best that we can be and, in the end, you all make us so very proud. Collectively, this makes Heritage more than just a great school – it makes it a wonderful community. Like any community, we always have events, and right now it’s graduation season! Congratulations to all of our kindergarten and eighth grade students! Here is the schedule of graduation ceremonies we will be holding: Kindergarten: Monday, May 23rd at 6pm (in the Main Campus gymnasium) 8th Grade: Tuesday, May 24th at 6pm (in the Main Campus gymnasium) On a final note, I’d like to stress the importance of keeping the learning process going over the summer. Rest and relaxation are, of course, important elements of summer vacation, but to go the entire length of summer vacation without participating in any learning-oriented activities or programs can have repercussions on your child’s education that last well into the following school year. It was this article from the Huffington Post that made me think to bring up the topic, so check it out when you have a minute or two. Again, thank you all for a wonderful school year. I look forward to seeing you all again in the fall. Until then, have a fantastic summer! To continued learning,
